Privacy Policy

1. Summary

EAI ("the extension"), operated by Mark | EAIa, is built to be private by design. It runs locally in your browser. We do not run our own servers, and we do not collect, store, sell, or share your browsing history or personal data. There is no analytics or tracking.

2. Data stored on your device

EAI saves the following locally on your device (via the browser's extension storage), and it never leaves your device except as described in section 3:

• Your settings and which features are turned on.
• Your "blocked" counts and the per-day totals used for the chart.
• Any custom websites you choose to block.
• Your license key and activation id (to keep your subscription unlocked).

3. Network connections

• License check: when you activate or validate your subscription, your license key is sent to Polar (api.polar.sh) to confirm it is valid. This is the only data EAI sends off your device.
• AI-image metadata (optional): when "Blur tagged AI images" is on, EAI downloads images you encounter and inspects their metadata on your device to look for AI markers. Image data is processed locally and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
• Blocklists: the AI site list and the on-page AI filter list are bundled inside the extension. EAI does not call our servers (we have none).

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record. When you subscribe, Polar handles your payment details and provides us with order and license information (such as your email and subscription status). We never see or store your card details. See Polar's own privacy policy for how they handle your data.

5. Permissions

EAI requests broad site access only so it can block AI sites and hide AI elements on the pages you visit, locally. It does not read, log, or send the content of pages you browse.

6. Data retention & deletion

Local data is removed when you uninstall the extension. To delete purchase data held by the payment processor, use the Polar customer portal or contact us.

7. Children

EAI is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
